Airbus has chosen Novalnet as its global payment service provider. In a Europe-wide tender, the group was looking for a specialized full-service payment provider with global expertise for the individual needs of Airbus.
At the end of March, high-ranking representatives from both sides signed the contract, which comprised several hundred pages, in the 680 square meter Airbus showroom in Munich. The collaboration aims to advance the aerospace company’s e-commerce sales further and make it easier for customers to pay.
Christian Vollmer, General Counsel and authorized signatory at Novalnet, said, “We are very pleased to work with Airbus, a major global player and Dax group, and a company that attaches great importance to excellent service and outstanding customer satisfaction, which matches Novalnet’s own endeavour for service excellence.”
Airbus is also pleased about the new partnership: “With our rapidly advancing internationalization, our requirements in terms of flexibility and competence are very high,” explains Thomas Duda, Senior Commercial Consultant at Airbus. “Novalnet is considered very experienced in the payment market and as a regulated payment institute based in Germany and has proven that it has all the necessary interfaces to the relevant booking and billing systems.”
Emmanuel Kirse, Chief Operations Officer at Novalnet, adds: “We are strongly convinced that we can actively support Airbus in its strategy for digitization and global payment and marketplace solutions”.
Airbus SE is the third largest aerospace company globally, with a turnover of around 52 billion euros in 2021. The group employs about 126,000 people at more than 70 development and production sites in Europe and 35 offices worldwide.
Novalnet processes payments for more than 13,000 e-commerce companies worldwide as a full-service payment service provider. As a fintech, Novalnet provides multiple payment-related services under one roof – fraud prevention, receivables management, invoicing, subscription management, marketplace & affiliate solutions, implementation and end-user support, being a few of the services offered from a single source.
