Fast, convenient, secure – credit card payment is a common and popular online payment method around the world. Via Novalnet, credit card payments are processed under PCI security standards with or without security procedures such as 3D-Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard Identity Check, etc.). Novalnet supports international transactions via international schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, UnionPay and Diners Club.

We also handle registration and validation with the acquirer for you. Our credit card partners currently charge a low to no monthly fee.
Novalnet supports the security standard 3D-Secure. 3D-Secure is a technology used by credit card companies to make credit card payments on the Internet even more secure for you as a merchant as well as for customers. Visa calls this procedure “Verified by Visa”, Mastercard “Mastercard Identity Check” (formerly “Mastercard SecureCode”), JCB calls it “J / Secure” and American Express calls it “SafeKey”.
3D-Secure effectively protects you as a merchant from fraud and chargebacks.
The sensitive credit card details are entered via the iFrame directly on the secure servers of Novalnet. As a shop operator, you do not need a security certificate which is time-consuming to apply for, as you do not come into contact with sensitive credit card data.
We offer merchants a PCI-DSS-certified credit card processing, so that card acceptance can be offered by both large online shopsand small-medium- merchants. Technically, the secure transmission of data is . solved via iFrame or JSON Object Technology. This means that the online buyer is not redirected during the ordering process, rather the data is entered directly on the dealer website.
Many Business Models Require Different Transaction Processes. Novalnet supports various options – from normal booking to credit note. This means that the transactions are flexible to support your business model.
The 3D Secure process offers additional security for online credit card transactions.
A large number of online shops in Germany and abroad already uses 3D Secure. The two logos Verified by VISA and Mastercard Identity Check as well as the logos of the other credit card companies show that an online shop uses the 3D Secure process.
If an order is placed in an online shop with 3D-Secure, a window appears during the payment process in which the buyer must enter the 3D-Secure password.
Online merchants are protected against chargebacks due to disputed credit card misuse or credit card use. The card-issuing bank must assume liability in this case. However, this does not apply to chargebacks that arise due to undelivered or faulty goods. Risk Management
Novalnet offers you extensive fraud modules, which can be flexibly tailored to your needs. With these modules, you have the possibility to minimize your risk of payment defaults.Novalnet will now inform you Credit Card expiration
Which merchant does not know this: The end customer has n ongoing subscription or an active payment reference via the credit card payment method. The current payments are regularly debited from his credit card. But now it comes as it should: The credit card expires, but the customer has failed to update the credit card details. leading to an unwanted payment default. Protect against such Payment Defaults
Novalnet has recognized this problem and developed a new information service, the “Validity reminder for expiring payment data”. Before a credit card expires, Novalnet informs its merchants of this conveniently and securely. This gives merchants the opportunity to inform their customers about the upcoming process in a timely manner and to request for updates, eliminating payment defaults. This service is available in German and English. This avoids payment defaults and unnecessary expenditure of time.
In addition to the payment processing, Novalnet also provides automated chargeback/dispute handling on any incoming credit card chargebacks providing all the necessary documents to execute dispute handling.
Engaging cardholders to resolve disputes can be done through the Dashboard. Merchant can configure this function to send receipts and other custom information to the customer. Novalnet collects the following for resolving disputes:
If the dispute is an inquiry or retrieval request, you can also refund the transaction to avoid a chargeback. Likewise, for chargebacks, you can choose to accept the dispute. Refunding or accepting chargebacks will not be considered a admission of wrongdoing.
Novalnet will automatically dispute applicable chargebacks on your behalf (without any action from your side).
These chargebacks include:
A chargeback is a reversal of payment made by the issuingbank when a customer disputes a charge through their bank. A chargeback can occur when a customer has not received the items they purchased, has been charged multiple times for a single purchase, or is dissatisfied with the purchase and has not been able to resolve the matter with the merchant. A customer who cannot resolve their issue with the merchant typically contacts their issuing bank to execute a chargeback. The bank or credit card issuer then notifies the credit card organization, which in turn notifies Novalnet.
As a final stage of dispute handling Novalnet will automatically execute the dunning and debt collection process. In the event of an unsuccessful dispute, Novalnet’s integrated and fully automated dunning and debt collection procedure begins, refer our debt collection services.
In addition, your end customers have free telephone support at their disposal during our business hours, provided by our trained and friendly service staff. All questions of the end customers, e.g. regarding their payment or debit (handled by Novalnet) on their card, will be answered in detail.
