Listing
The addition of a new product to the range of goods can be referred to as a listing. The results page in response to a search query on the Internet is also referred to as a listing, whereby a basic distinction is made between “Organic” and “Paid Listing”.
Organic Listing
Organic Listing can be described as an organic search results page and forms the basis for search engine optimization. This optimization technique is particularly important for online stores that want to attract potential buyers to their website and their range of products and services. In order to optimize an online store, certain measures must be taken. These include, among other things, providing the content of the online store and also the website with keywords.. Another important technique in Organic Listing is the use of external links on the online store’s website.
Paid Listing
Paid Listing is also a technique to achieve a better position of the website in search queries. In contrast to Organic Listing, Paid Listing is paid for the positioning within the results list. Improved positioning is achieved on the basis of payment. In this case, the search engine marks its own offer as an advertised website. Search engine providers offer various conditions so that even smaller websites have the opportunity to improve their positioning. With the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo, links are explicitly marked in the paid listing area. These then appear in a separate frame or area next to the organic search engine results, thus offering searchers a distinction between paid and organic listings.
