Page Clicks
Page clicks show a website operator how many users have clicked on his website and exactly what content they are interested in. In particular, website operators who want to earn money with their site cannot avoid keeping an eye on their click rate. However, page clicks are not only used to interpret the content of a website. They can also be used to earn money.
Page Clicks – what do they say?
Roughly speaking, page clicks show how popular a website is. The click rate shows exactly how many users are interested in the website, which content they like and how long they read which content. This is done using a special tool that precisely registers all clicks. It registers both when a user enters the website, i.e. when he clicks on it, and what he does after entering the website. That is, what content he clicks on afterwards and how long it takes until he clicks on the next content or leaves the page.
Reading and interpreting page clicks
All websites are operated by a specific provider. The website operator has a contract with the provider, which also includes which tools are available to him. Page clicks are one of the standard tools of a website and are stored in the backend of the website. The click rates are displayed in diagrams so that the website operator can see, for example, at what time most users stay on the website. Page clicks are thus used to analyze the content of a website. To be able to analyze the page clicks more precisely, the website operator can download them to his computer and interpret them using an Excel spreadsheet, for example. Based on this interpretation, the website can then be revised or rebuilt. For example, it makes sense to place certain content that users find particularly interesting in a highly visible place on the website, such as at the top. A well-structured website with interesting content is perceived by more users than an unclear one. The evaluation of page clicks therefore helps a website operator not least to win over potential clients or customers.
Earn money with page clicks
Page clicks are not only important for optimizing your own website. If you want to place advertisements on your website, you also need the highest possible page click rate. This is because the advertising industry wants to know how many people it can reach with its advertising via a website. Websites with high page clicks, i.e. those that are visited frequently, are naturally more interesting for the advertising industry than those that nobody notices. The higher the page click rate of a website, the more advertisers will try to place their ads there. Advertisers are also willing to pay more money for an ad placement on a website with high page clicks.
